'Travelling' to Travel!

All the little things that have to be taken care before one embarks on an getaway -be it for a week, a month or a year is the worst thing about travelling (for me atleast!). So much to do and sooo little time..well thats my slogan always, but its the input to a very high end feed forward amplifier right now! Its such a beautiful day and all I want to do is walk around Boston...instead, I need to finish an abstract, find my debit card!!! ( I thought I only misplaced umbrellas and sunglasses :P), go to MIT medical for a zillion medicines, scan all my documents...and oh pack! And clean my appartment...right now it looks as if a hurricane just hit it...Well..I guess this is the fun part :)

Oh, another fun tidbit: As some of you know I am planning on couch surfing in Europe and given the holiday season, its been rather difficult to find 'couches'...BUT, I just found out that I can couch surf in Paris with this guy who lives on the boat on the river Seine...now, isnt that great!! Fingers crossed that this works out and that he is a fun, non- weird person!

A New Year...A New Blog

Well...I kind of lost track of the old one :P And since I am going to start the year by travelling, I am going to attemp to dedicate this blog to all my adventurous escapades! Well...that is hoping that this coming year will bring tons of road and air time :) And if gas is cheap, this should be very doable even if I dont know how to drive...all you folks with cars out there...hint hint...you could even help me get a licence...which some of you have attempted in vain...but keep trying! So...here is hoping to a no-blizzard take off on January 1st...a not-so-cold week in Europe and a three week rendezvous in a non-Guinea coup-affected Sierra Leone! I will try my best to blog frequently and update pictures whenever I have access to internet!! And please leave comments...it will be a good way to stay in touch!! Have an awesome, productive, safe new year!!! See you all in 2009 :)
